Travel & Visa

It is highly recommended that participants who plan to attend in person the EMGN-25 should read the related information about Türkiye’s visa regime on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye. If you want a specific visa letter or any other type of letter, please email us at [email protected].

For your conference-related stay in Istanbul, we recommend the Bilek Hotel Istanbul, Levent Hotel Istanbul, Kings Cross Hotel Istanbul, Hyatt Centric Levent Istanbul, Sheraton Istanbul Levent, and Delta Hotels Istanbul Levent. To ensure you get a room, we recommend that you book as early as possible. All hotels are conveniently located near the metro station "4. Levent" (M2 line) or "Levent" (M2 line) and eight minutes from the Istanbul Technical University metro station "İTÜ – Ayazağa" (see Access Plan). To use the metro, we suggest purchasing a daily or weekly Istanbul pass. Alternatively, taxis from hotels to "Istanbul Teknik Üniversitesi Maslak kapmüsü" cost approximately 5 euros. In general, if you prefer to take cabs in Istanbul, we highly recommend the BiTaksi app. If you wish to stay at a hotel closer to the city centre, we recommend selecting one near metro line M2. Istanbul has a broad variety of hotel options and it is easy to find where to stay on a budget in this city.

From the airport, taking a bus to the city centre is easy. From there, you can take the metro (M2 line) to your hotel. However, we advise making reservations for car shuttles to your hotel online (e.g., Safe Airport Transfer, Istanbul Shuttle Port, All Istanbul Travel). The average cost for four persons is 50 euros. Read more about the transfer options available at Istanbul International Airport and Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport.
